The Hot Foil process is an extremely effective way of printing onto pre-manufactured products. Relatively short runs can be produced, quite cheaply, providing superb results. The Pad Printing process, sometimes called Tampo Printing dates back over 100 years, it was initially used in Switzerland to print watch faces. Today it is used world wide on millions of different products. Unlike the Hot Foil processes which only works on flat surfaces, it is possible to Pad Print onto a variety of curved products, this opens the doors to almost unlimited applications such as disposable lighters, cylindrical pens, garment carriers etc etc. The modern inks are extremely hard wearing, and are resistant to most household chemicals.
